Why keep Coturnix quail?
Coturnix are fantastic little birds and are particularly popular because of how incredibly quickly they grow and mature.
š£ Very fast growingā they develop much faster than chickens and can reach maturity at approximately 6ā8 weeks old š„
š„ Early layers ā females can begin laying from around *6ā8 weeks of age, although individual birds can take a little longer
š„ Excellent egg production ā once established and kept under suitable conditions, a good Coturnix hen can produce approximately 250ā300 eggs per year!
š” Small and manageableā their compact size makes them a great option for people who would like to keep poultry but donāt have the space required for a large chicken flock
š¾ Our chicks are raised on quality high 29%-protein quail feed and are carefully monitored from hatch
Chicks are sold unsexed at this age, Exact colours and numbers available will be confirmed as this hatch progresses. Collection from Carmarthen.
