Seller Description

HempBedz — natural hemp bedding for poultry HempBedz is made from hemp shiv, the soft woody core of the hemp plant. Separated from the outer fibre, the shiv becomes one of the most absorbent natural beddings you can lay down — drawing in far more moisture than straw, paper or shavings and holding it deep in the core, so the coop stays drier for longer between cleans. Why keepers choose it: • Highly absorbent — locks in moisture and droppings, keeping floors and nest boxes dry • Low dust — far kinder to birds’ airways than dusty shavings or straw, and easier on yours too • Natural odour control — helps keep ammonia down for fresher, healthier air in the coop • Naturally resists mould, mildew and mites — with no chemical treatments • Soft and warm — comfortable for nesting and bedding down, and a gentler landing for eggs • Long-lasting and economical — lasts longer than shavings, so you use less and clean less often • Fully compostable — straight onto the heap when you’re done Ideal for deep-litter coops and for stables with rubber mats.
